January 06, 2014 – J. Anthony Borrego Joins R2F Investment Bankers as Managing Director

Los Angeles, CA – R2F Investment Bankers, a boutique investment banking firm based in Manhattan Beach, CA, is pleased to announce that J. Anthony Borrego has joined the team as Managing Director.

Mr. Borrego has over 13 years of experience as a corporate attorney and private equity professional. Prior to joining the team, Mr. Borrego practiced corporate law with Winston & Strawn LLP and O’Melveny & Myers LLP in Los Angeles and Washington, DC where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions, private equity and corporate finance transactions. Prior to that, Mr. Borrego served as Assistant General Counsel with American Capital, Ltd. a Washington-based private equity firm, where he advised deal teams and the investment committee in connection with leveraged buy-outs, uni-tranche and mezzanine investments and exits.

Mr. Borrego graduated cum laude from California Lutheran University with a degree in Psychology and holds a law degree from University of California, Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall). He is also an Adjunct Associate Professor of Law at Southwestern Law School where he teaches an advanced course on mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Borrego serves on the Board of Directors of Eastern Los Angeles Regional Center and California Hispanic Corporate Council.
